I have been procrastinating on a project for the past few weeks. Part of the reason for this is due to the overwhelming amount of ideas I have in my head. That is a good problem to have, but if I can’t act on any of them then they are garbage.
Recently I came across a video talking about starting a daily drawing project. I’ve heard about daily drawing challenges or projects, but I usually failed any attempt to draw consistently everyday. However, I could not deny that a daily drawing project would help me get out of my head, and actually make work daily.
Here are my requirements for this project:
I need to draw everyday and post it here on my newsletter and on YouTube (my two platforms I have chosen to focus on).
The drawing has to be at the very least a finished ink drawing in my sketchbook.
I can add color or make into a painting later, but the drawing needs be done and posted everyday.
I would love to get your ideas as I go along this project, and maybe your idea will get picked! Below is Day 1’s drawing.
The Story Behind the drawing: On our road trip we encountered a lot of people feeding the wild animals (like chipmunks) with people food despite the signs that said “Don’t Feed the Animals”. The animals were way too tame and would unfortunately get too used to being fed people food which does harm to them and the ecosystem. This was just a funny take on that sign.
Stay tuned for tomorrows drawing!
